Ripa exercising for field trials

Welcome to the O’Flanagan Website!

Our Flatcoat history started when we bought Gunhills Fiona. A few years later she gained her titles N FIN UCH. Fiona was a well constructed strong female, with a lot of attitude and will to please.

For a period of time I had been in touch with the late Mrs Patience Lock of Halstock fame. We agreed to meet at Cruft’s 1974 and I hoped that she would be willing to sell Halstock Romany to me. I was a very happy student after the show, returning to Sweden with Romany.

Romany was shown at Cruft's that year and was placed in all her classes. She also easily gained her titles N FIN UCH in Scandinavia. Romany was very well made, and more elegant than many of the Swedish females at that time. Due to her construction she had excellent movement and she really enjoyed the show ring where she won numerous BOBs as well as BIS and Group placings all over Scandinavia. This is the start of our history.
